Our client is an upscale Day Nursery that prides itself on providing high quality child care. It is run by professional nursery nurses who have a clear understanding of the sector.
We recently had our OFSTED inspection and have been awarded an 'outstanding' grading in all areas. This puts us in the 3% of day nurseries in the country.
We only employ qualified Nursery nurses who are treated as professional Early Years Practitioners.
Our team recieve up to 7 hours per week planning time where they can sit within the staff area and update children's files or plan for future topics etc, using the Birth to Three and Foundation stage.
The nursery is open Mon to Fri 51 weeks per year. Shifts change on a monthly rota but you will not work more than a 39 hour week.
Here are few things that we believe set us apart from many other day nurseries in the private sector!
• The day nursery is owned by a Nursery Nurse (NNEB) who "has done the job" and is always well informed with regards to the day to day running of the nursery.
• The management team are able to support all rooms with their "back to the floor" policy which helps them to reflect and praise the good practice and help with concerns or queries.
• We have a fully qualified staff team with additional support from level 2 assistants.
• The staff team work a 39 hour week.
• All fulltime staff have an hour for lunch.
• We offer excellent staff room facilities for all the staff to use.
• Shifts are allocated on a monthly basis so all members of the team have the opportunity to come in early/late and go home early/late.
• Through the nursery we employ 6 extra members of staff to cover staff holidays and non-contact time.
• Non contact time is time given to the room based staff to complete record keeping and planning. Foundation stage staff have an average 5 ½ hours of non contact time during the week and Birth to 3 Matters staff have an average 3 ½ hours of non contact time during the week.
• We have regular staff meetings, both individual room meetings and the full staff team. This is your opportunity to have an input. This is given back to the team as TOIL (time off in lieu).
• All full time staff are entitled 28 days annual leave including bank holidays.
• We offer competitive salaries with regular increments.
• We offer good training opportunities, with members of staff being able to attend training courses during the day.
• Through out the nursery we are able to have good child to staff ratios. The Baby Room is registered for 12 children (ratio 1:3). We employ 5 full members of staff, 1 lunchtime cover and 1 non contact time cover.
• The nursery is in beautiful surroundings which we try to use as much as possible. Also our garden/outdoor areas have been developed with much consideration and are fun, exciting and with lots of outdoor equipment to use.
• We are able to offer a well equipped day nursery with good creative resources. Each room have their own budget which they decide other toys they need or have to replace.
To be considered for this role it is essential that you have relevant working history and a qualification to support you.
